Privacy policy for Android

The short version: PalPlayer has no account, no ads and no tracking. Your music and your library stay on your device. The only thing sent automatically is anonymous crash reports, so we can fix bugs.

Last updated 11 October 2026 · This policy covers PalPlayer for Android phones, tablets and Android Auto. For iPhone and iPad, see the iOS privacy policy.

Who we are

PalPlayer is made by Threefold, a small software studio based in Canada. If you have any question about your data, email support@threefoldapps.com.

What stays on your device

Your audio files, your folders, your listening positions, your recently played list, lyrics you fetch, chapters you make, your edits and your downloaded podcast episodes are stored only on your phone or tablet. We don't run any servers for PalPlayer, so we never receive them. PalPlayer only reads the audio files you choose to add.

PalPlayer has no login and doesn't collect your name, email, phone number, location or contacts. It doesn't use the Android Advertising ID or any other tracking identifier, and we don't sell or share your data.

When PalPlayer uses the internet

PalPlayer connects to these services only when you use the feature:

These services see your device's IP address, as any website does, and handle requests under their own privacy policies. We don't send them anything that identifies you. If you never use these features, PalPlayer works fully offline with your own files.

Crash reports

To keep the app stable, PalPlayer uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to send a report automatically when the app crashes or hits certain errors. A report contains:

Crash reports never include your name, email, account, the contents of your audio files or any advertising ID. Google processes them under Firebase's privacy terms.

Permissions

PalPlayer doesn't ask for your location, camera, microphone or contacts.

Children

PalPlayer isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Everything PalPlayer keeps is on your device. To delete it, clear PalPlayer's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. We hold no copy on any server.

Emails you send us

If you email support, we keep the conversation so we can help you. We'll delete it if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email support@threefoldapps.com and we'll reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
